My Drawings

The Early Years - 1970s

My first pencil portrait My first portrait. I was with a friend who did a bit of sketching and he encouraged me to give it a go. I had not done art since primary school so I tried to copy a photo from one of his mother's fashion magazines and discovered I made a fair go of it.
My second pencil portrait and long time favourite My second drawing the next day, and I have to say I always liked this one.
My third pencil portrait Portrait number three. A coupe of weeks later.
My fourth pencil portrait Portrait number four, that same day.
My fifth pencil portrait My fifth portrait a week later.
My sixth pencil portrait Portrait number six that same day, this was a bit of a weekend pastime for me.
My seventh pencil portrait Portrait number seven.
My eigth pencil portrait Portrait number eight.
My ninth pencil portrait Portrait number nine.
My tenth pencil portrait Portrait number ten, a bit worse for wear, wasn't stored very well.
My eleventh pencil portrait Portrait number eleven, and the last I did for a while, or at least if I did others they did not survive the years.
